Celebrating a Holiday....

Lauren Holiday that is, in her stunning bridal shoot that took place in Dallas at The Mansion on Turtle Creek. It was President's day, and my husband and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary, so it was certainly a HOLIDAY weekend to celebrate!

The trip to Dallas couldn't have been better: a gorgeous hotel, some nice meals coupled with an awesome session with Lauren....Here's a sample of Ms. Holiday's bridal...

Bigs turns 3 today!!!!

Where has the time gone!!! I can't believe it's been three years since the Lord blessed my husband and I with our little man, aka Big Big, Mister, Bigs, or his personal favorite Darth Vader...

When we ask him how old he is today, he says "I'm free momma!" There's no shortage of laughs from Mister's BIG personality. When you ask him his name, "My name is MaGwegor Genius!" And yes he certainly is to us...
Happy Birthday to my semi-sweet boy!

Katie and Ramie

When I met these two, I liked them INSTANTLY! We had a little competition going on for their date, but they booked 1st and I am SO glad. The reason is, after spending last Sunday afternoon with them, I confirmed what I already knew...THEY ARE AWESOME! So, the session was Superbowl Sunday, Ramie is a TOTAL trooper. There are some images I cannot post....because I don't want to ruin the surprise for their "Save-The-Dates", but as soon as they give me the green light, you better believe they will be on my BLOG!

Woo-hoo! I got my certification.....

I am a Certified Professional Photographer from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA)! I had to pass a rigorous test, had to submit my past photography work to a panel of judges for review, and must renew my credentials every 5 five years through continuing education in order to commit to this prestigious certification. Lots of work, but I’m willing to do it. Let me tell you why...

To receive this certification asserts to the general public that I am a Certified Professional Photographer, in other words, a quality professional. Receiving this certification puts me in the 8% of professional photographers (which is less that 1,725 in the world) that have this certification. It’s like quality assurance because certification is a credential consumers and businesses understand.

More importantly, it conveys to my clients WHY they should choose my services over my competitors. Since I had to enter my past work for a panel of judges to review, I have to thank my clients. If not for the wonderful pictures you have allowed me to take of you, your family, and all your special moments, I would NOT have been able to gain this certification.

I can't say this enough, but each and every one of you are special people in my life and Thank You is an under statement of my gratitude. If not for you all letting me into your lives, I could not do my job!

To show my appreciation, I am offering a complementary 8x10 on your next session if anyone comments. Thank you again!!!
